A life in service of Imo State

Hope Odidika Uzodimma was born on 12 December 1958 in Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State. Trained as a lawyer and tested as an entrepreneur, his life has been shaped by two convictions: that public service must be measurable, and that Imo's people deserve the same standard of infrastructure, security and opportunity available anywhere in the world.

Career arc

  • Second Republic: early entry into political life and party organising.
  • 2011 – 2019: Distinguished Senator representing Imo West (Orlu Zone) for two terms in the National Assembly.
  • 15 January 2020: Sworn in as Executive Governor of Imo State following the Supreme Court judgement.
  • November 2023: Re-elected for a second term, a mandate to continue the 3R agenda.
